Zambia Spring 2013

My wife Angil and I have been given an amazing opportunity to travel to Zambia with World Vision and NorthRidge Church. This will be a short-term Vision trip to the two (2) communities that our Church sponsors, Moyo and Hamaundu, these communities are very poor and nearly two (2) out of every ten (10) children die before the age of five (5).

NorthRidge Church has partnered with World Vision to sponsor these two (2) villages in Zambia and make the families of these two (2) villages part of our own family. In fact during this trip, Angil and I will get the opportunity to meet two (2) of the children we sponsor in Hamaundu, Sharon and Ephriam (pictured here with their Christmas gifts).

This is our first outreach trip outside of the United States, and I pray God will be able to use our love for the Lord and children to accomplish great things in Zambia. Angil and I have had the opportunity to serve and help others locally and it makes us so grateful for all that we have and the blessings that have been given to us and we want to share that with others.

The purpose of our trip to Hamaundu and Moyo, Zambia is to check on the progress of the partnership, the progress of clean water wells and to discuss next steps within these two (2) communities as well as visiting with our sponsored families.

We are overwhelmed and are so blessed to go on this mission trip and we ask for your prayer support, the most important way you can support this trip is through your prayer. Please pray for health and safety of myself and the entire team. We also pray that the people we serve would see the Love of Christ in everything we do.

We will be sharing information via blog from the field as well as sharing pictures when we return.

Cheerfully in Christ,

Bernie and Angil Ritchey
